I know that you're probably wondering why we still have our holiday boughs and balls in the planters. Unfortunately the weather has been so cold until this week the soil in the planters is frozen solid and we can't remove the holiday decor. We would like to see the decor gone as much as all of you but we're having to wait and count on Mother Nature to keep the temperatures up for us. The north side of Danforth will thaw a bit quicker than the south side and the east side of Broadview will thaw a bit quicker than the west side but we will be removing all of the decor as soon as we're able. There are some BIAs in the city who are in the same spot as us and there are some who have substantially smaller planters with less soil so they've been able to do their removals

As we get further into the spring season we will also be doing a clean up and repair on our benches and lampposts - a lot of the paint on our bench legs and lampposts requires attention after this winter.
