I know it's Saturday night and I'm not sure how many of you will see this message tonight but... I just received an email from our BIA member Pizzaiolo letting me know that they've had 2 different customers trying to pay with fake $50 bills.  One female wearing a grey jacket and black cap; and, a large set male with long hair wearing a red Roots hoodie.  They may try to use this money again.

 

I've included our police rep PC Little in the top send line of this email.  If you end up with what you believe is counterfeit money please send him an email.

 

I've also attached the Bank of Canada's information on counterfeit money which includes information on what to look for (pages 6-12) and what to do if you end up with fake money - see page 13 - you need to notify the police.
